AWAKENING OUR INNER CREATIVITY THROUGH SOUND

Angela Mason and Marisa Tighe invite you to join them in exploring the power and alchemy of Sound in a small, safely held group.

Enjoy a relaxing and fun day full of healing and expansive sounds, free flow writing and using drawing and mark making to express yourself.

Exploring your creativity through sound can be a beautiful and enriching experience evoking a sense of wonder.

You will be given the opportunity to allow the harmonious and magical sounds of Gongs, Himalayan singing bowls, Crystal Bowls, Chimes and more to wash over you, awakening your senses and imagination.

The Gong Sounds, certain sound vibrations and frequencies are known to help you reach meditative, pre theta states of consciousness where new insights, visions or ideas often emerge.

You will then be invited to write down and draw descriptions of the sounds you hear, how they make you feel and any ideas or inspirations they spark. There really is no need to have previous experience of drawing or writing or any particular level of ability. It won't be about 'achieving' but a chance to enjoy the process of discovering new parts of yourself and just seeing what comes up for you.

As the day comes to a close, we will take some time to reflect on our experiences. To think about how sound has influenced your creativity throughout the day and what insights you've gained. Consider how you can continue to incorporate sound into your creative practice going forward.

By dedicating a day to exploring sound and creativity, you can unlock new ways of thinking, feeling and expressing yourself. Embrace the journey of discovery and let the power of sound inspire your creativity in profound ways.

What to bring:

🌻A journal/notebook and pen or pencil

🌻 If you have drawing colour pencils, pastels or charcoal and would like to bring them, please do (don’t worry if not, we’ll have a supply).

🌻Please wear warm, comfortable clothes and bring extra layers in case you need them.

🌻You might like to bring slippers or indoor shoes as we’ll be shoe-free around the gongs.

🌻Please also bring a blanket, cushion & something comfy to lie on the wooden floor for around 60 minutes, as you’ll be receiving 2 Sound Baths during the Day and will need to be super comfortable.

🌻 Your eye mask or there will be disposable, warm, steam eye masks to purchase from Maria on the day for   £2.

🌻Please bring a packed LUNCH.  The venue is in a rural setting & there aren’t any shops nearby.

Throughout the day, tap water, tea, cow’s milk, herbal teas and fruit will be available. Please bring anything else you’d like to eat/drink/share with the group or if you have special dietary requirements.

Not suitable for children, sorry.

• you’re unable to lie comfortably on the floor for 60-75minutes
• you have sensitive hearing or tinnitus
• you are pregnant (first or last trimester)
• you have a severe, significant medical condition or recent operation/wound
• you have severe, significant mental illness

Less than 4 weeks notice of cancellation, no refunds as the venue and Presenters will be booked and paid for.
