ABOUT THE COURSE
Developed in 2010 by Sheila Whittaker Gong Master and senior
Gong tutor for the College of Sound Healing, the Gong
Practitioner Training Course © is a CMA-certificated programme
delivered over 12 months in five weekend, in-person Modules.
The course includes 70 hours of formal training, along with
practice, reading, coursework and mentoring between modules.
You will leave the training with the knowledge, tools and an
internationally recognised qualification to practise as a Gong
Practitioner - ready to offer therapeutic sessions both
individually and in group settings.
Your Tutor Angela Mason is an experienced Gong and Sound
Practitioner who will be your guide throughout the course.
A student on Sheila's original 2010 training, Angela is passionate about the Gongs. Intuitive and supportive, Angela will hold space for you on your journey with the Gongs, creating an environment which encourages and supports your personal and professional transformation.
Class sizes are kept very small – encouraging a supportive and collaborative group connection.
THE SUM IS MORE THAN THE PARTS…
Much more than learning techniques for playing and working with the Gong, it's a year of exploration and discovery of your inner world, as you engage in your own healing journey with the Gong Sounds. This can be challenging at times but is deeply rewarding and is a group journey – we connect and support each other.
Before we can guide others in healing, we need to be able to provide a strongly held, supportive space for our clients and ourselves. The gong frequencies will be supporting you in any emotional clearing and energetic re-alignment, helping you to feel grounded, present and able to hold this space for others.
Between modules, you will complete coursework and case studies, giving you the opportunity to practise with others, refine your technique and build confidence in your skills before offering your services professionally.
